STUDYING GOD’S WORD EVERYDAY!

Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29).

Every Christian needs to study God’s Word everyday to enable him grow spiritually. Until you learn to study God’s Word everyday, you will continue to live a life of heresy full of mistakes and controversy. The Bible says in the opening text that Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.” The ability to know the Scriptures keeps you afloat and steady in life.

The Word of God is the bread of life. When God gave the children of Israel manna to eat in the wilderness, He vehemently warned them to take and eat fresh manna for the day (Exodus 16:4). In the same way, every Christian needs the fresh bread of life everyday. No wonder Jesus Christ said in John 6:48, “I am the bread of life.” You need the bread of life which is Jesus Christ everyday to keep your life alive.

Studying God’s Word everyday keeps you vibrant and alive in the Spirit. When your spirit is alive, your life will be fruitful. That is why the Bible says in Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Daily Tip: Studying God’s Word everyday keeps your spirit vibrant and alive devoid of heresy and mistakes. Shalom!

BEING BORN AGAIN IS BEYOND RELIGION!

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

The phrase, “Being born again” is a terminology used by Jesus Christ to describe spiritual rebirth. This spiritual terminology is beyond religion. The Bible says in the opening text that Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” When Adam sinned against God, he became spiritually dead; hence, he became totally alienated from God’s glory.

Spiritual deadness is even worse than physical deadness because one is totally alienated from God’s glory and presence. When one is totally alienated from God’s glory and presence, he needs to experience spiritual rebirth which is, “Being born again” in order to regain his spiritual status in God. No wonder the Bible says in John 1:13, “Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

There is no religion in the world that can guarantee salvation outside, “Being born again.” That is why Christianity is never a religion because there is no religion that can please God and bring salvation to mankind. Christianity is a way of life through spiritual rebirth. That is why Jesus said to Nicodemus plainly, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5).

Daily Tip: Christianity is never a religion but a way of life through spiritual rebirth. Shalom!

 THE HOLY SPIRIT IS UNLIMITED!

But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me (John 15:26).

The Holy Spirit is the third Person in trinity and He proceeds from the Father. The Holy Spirit is referred to as the Spirit of truth, the great Comforter and Helper. His power is unlimited and without Him, we can do nothing. He empowers us to achieve great feats for the Lord. Jesus is in heaven but the Holy Spirit perfects the work of salvation in our lives. He operates mysteriously in everywhere at the same time and all over.

The Holy Spirit is referred to in theology as Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscience. This simply means that the Holy Spirit is the al-powerful, the al-present and the al-knowing. He owns the ultimate and all power in heaven, earth and in the abyss. He is present in everywhere, all the time without limitation. The Holy Spirit knows everything, all knowledge and truth from every profession of life.

The Holy Spirit is unlimited! His power is unlimited! His knowledge is unlimited! His presence is also unlimited! He is in you, is in me, is in all Christians, is in Jesus the Son and also is in God the Father even at the same time. That is why Jesus says in John 14:16, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” He abides with you and with all Christians forever at the same time.

Daily Tip: The Holy Spirit is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscience; therefore, give Him the opportunity to work and perfect your life. Shalom!

Golden Text: The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you (John 14:17).

LIVING FOR CHRIST: THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS!

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).

Christmas had been a major controversy in the Christendom. Some do not see the essence of Christmas Day’s celebration simply because that was not the actual date Jesus was born. Whether it is true or not, let us give kudos to the church fathers that agreed and approved this date for Jesus Christ birthday’s celebration for the sake of remembrance (Matthew 18:18-19). The Bible says in the opening text that for to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

The essence of Christmas Day’s celebration is to live for Christ and not for self aggrandizement. Thank God for the awareness that Christmas Day’s celebration has created all over the world. Through the celebration, many heathens have given their lives to Christ and lived for him. The Bible says in John 11:26, “And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Christmas Day’s celebration has led many to Christ.

The essence of Christmas Day’s celebration is to re-echo the voice of Jesus Christ all over the world. That is why the Bible says in John 5:25, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.” We should take note of the fact that Christmas Day’s celebration is a great avenue for evangelism and soul winning all over the world. Happy Christmas Day’s Celebration!

Daily Tip: Everything in life that has advantage also has disadvantage. The advantage of Christmas Day’s celebration far outweighs its disadvantage. What you fail to celebrate, the memory of it can easily be forgotten and go into extinction. Shalom!

Golden Text: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

THE EXCELLENT WISDOM OF GOD!

I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you (Daniel 5:14).

God’s excellent wisdom is awesome, great and far above riches, gold and diamond. It is incomparable to anything else on earth. The reason why Daniel excelled more than all his contemporaries was because of the excellent wisdom of God in his life and ministry. The Bible says in the opening text that I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.

In the New Testament, the Bible tells us vividly that Jesus Christ became the excellent wisdom of God in the lives of men. No wonder the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:30, “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” The excellent wisdom of God is found in Jesus, and that is the wisdom that leads one to salvation and eternal life.

It is God alone that can give this kind of wisdom. It is not what one can obtain through the five senses or human intellect but purely divine. That is why the Bible says in Ephesians 1:17, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” The excellent wisdom of God which is purely divine and undefiled is obtained by His Spirit.

Daily Tip: The excellent wisdom of God is the wisdom full of God’s knowledge, understanding and thorough application. This kind of wisdom is found in Jesus Christ. Shalom!

Golden Text: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him (James 1:5).
