DAY 20 SATURDAY: APRIL 2019

HAVE A PRIESTLY VOCABULARY!

And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:6).

Every Christian is a priest unto the Lord. As a priest to the Lord, God wants you to speak and behave like Him. A priest does not speak vulgar language because that is not part of his nature. But he is known to speak words that edify and bring glory to God. In the opening text, the Bible says that God has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Therefore, every Christian should take note of the fact that he is a priest unto the Lord and it is his duty to speak the priesthood language to the glory of God.

The Bible further expatiated your priesthood in God when it stated in 1 Peter 2:9 thus, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” Of course, a Christian is a priest that had been called out of darkness to live in God’s marvelous light. God has made him His priest forever because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Therefore, he should learn to talk like a priest unto the Lord.

In fact because a Christian is a priest unto the Lord, he should never allow words that are corrupting and defying come of out of his mouth because he is very special and precious to God. That is the reason why the Bible says in Ephesians 4:29, “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” It is highly the duty of every Christian to shun every form of corrupting words, but learn to speak words that are edifying and imparting grace to the hearers. God expects you as a believer to have a priestly vocabulary forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to have a priestly vocabulary, and speak words that edify and impart grace to the hearers. Shalom!
